Forms

The forms of the previous Spider. Each one sends a request to a process of the previous Spider, which runs it there, outside the processes of this Spider. Use a form to start such a request, and follow the requests it started.

These are not the forms of this Spider's own processes: those are filled in from My Tasks, or through a form trigger.

How to get there

  • From the main menu: Spider › Forms.

Permission

To open the page you need Member or View organization settings for the whole organization. The list shows only the forms you may submit, which Member allows for every form. A form's own permissions can also give Submit proxy forms for just that form: on the Permissions tab of its page under Settings › Spider › Proxy Forms.

The Request history of a form needs View proxy forms on that form, or Manage organization. Member doesn't include it.

The list

Each form you may submit, by Name. Type in the column's filter to find a form by its name, or click the header to sort.

A click on a form opens it: a form has a page of its own (see below). Its rows can't be selected, so the ribbon has only Refresh and Copy link, which copies the link to this page. See Lists that open on a click.

Until a form is set up, under Settings › Spider › Proxy Forms, the list says No proxy forms found.

A form's page

Each form has a page built for it, titled with the form's name, with its description below the title. Its address is /forms/ followed by the form's Form Url, as it was set up. It has two tabs.

Form

The form's fields. Fill them in and click its submit button to send the request. A required field left empty says so, such as Please fill out this field for 'Name' or Please upload at least one file for 'Documents'. Once the request is sent, you are back on the Forms list.

Without permission to submit the form, its submit button is not shown.

Request history

The requests made with this form. Click a column header to sort on Id, Created or Status.

ColumnShows
IdThe request's number in the previous Spider.
NameThe request's name, or its process with its number.
CreatedWhen it was made.
StatusTodo, In Progress, Success, Failed or Unknown.

Double-click a request, or select it and click Open, to see its page. The List tab also has Open in new tab and Refresh.

A request's page

A request of the previous Spider, titled with its name, in three tabs:

  • Overview: its status, its Process, when it started and finished, and how long it took.
  • Body: what the form sent.
  • Variables: the request's variables in the previous Spider, each in a panel of its own.
